Trail Cutting & Access Paths

Walking trails, ATV and dirt bike trails, hunting lanes and drill-rig access for geotech and survey crews, cut clean through the brush with a forestry mulcher. We follow your route, mulch it in place and leave the good trees standing.

Get into your woods

A path where there wasn't one

A lot of properties around here have woods you can't actually get into. Honeysuckle and saplings fill every gap, so walking back there means fighting your way through. A trail changes that. Now you can walk it, ride it, hunt it or just see what you own.

We cut trails with a tracked forestry mulcher. It grinds the brush and small trees in the trail corridor into mulch, which also makes a soft, natural trail surface. You tell us where you want it to go and how wide, and we route around the trees worth keeping. For engineering and survey crews, we cut paths wide enough for the rig to reach every boring or survey point, and nothing more.

  • ATV, UTV and dirt bike trails wide enough to ride

Trails and access we've cut

Real, paid jobs. Towns only, no client names.

New Richmond

Trail through the woods

Mulched a path through a wooded property so the owner could finally get back into the woods.

Butler County

Woods you can ride

Underbrush cleared out of the woods so a side-by-side can get through.

Northern Kentucky

Brush corridor opened

A corridor cut back through heavy brush for access.

Cincinnati

25 boring sites, one drill rig

An engineering client needed paths for an 8-foot-wide track-mounted drill rig to reach about 25 test boring locations in a wooded tract. Two-man crew, day rate.

Wyoming

Creek valley opened up for the kids

An acre of sloped valley down to a creek, covered in honeysuckle. We cleared everything but the hardwoods so the boys have their own space, and the owner has dirt bike trails planned next.

Clermont County

Corridor around the fence

Mulched a 0 to 15 foot corridor around the back fence line, with hand cleanup on the slopes the machine couldn't reach.

What we do here

Trails and access we cut

Walking & nature trails

Loops and paths through your woods, routed around the trees you want to keep.

ATV, UTV & dirt bike trails

Wider corridors cut clean enough to ride, with a mulch surface that holds up.

Hunting lanes & stand access

Quiet access to stands and plots, plus shooting lanes cut where you want them.

Geotech & survey access

Paths sized to the drill rig or survey crew, cut to every boring or survey point on the plan.

Geotech & survey clearing →

Fence lines & property lines

Corridors cleared along fences and boundaries so they can be fixed, built or finally seen.

Trail upkeep

Come back with the Ventrac or a mulcher to keep trails open as things grow back.

The equipment

The right machine for the corridor

Trails go through tight spots, so machine size matters. Our CAT 299s with Fecon heads handle most trail and access work. The CMI C175 takes long corridors through heavy growth, and the Ventrac keeps trails open afterward. We map routes in onX so we hit your points and stay on your property.

How it works

Engineering & survey firms: how it works

01

Send the plan

Boring layout, KMZ or coordinates, and your drill date.

02

We scout the routes

Shortest clean path to each point, around the big trees.

03

Paths sized to the rig

Wide enough for your track rig, not wider.

04

Ahead of your drill date

We schedule the clearing ahead of your crew, not on top of it.

What customers say

★★★★★

"Great experience! Professional bidding, exceptional follow-up, on time and reliable, and fantastic cleanup. Highly recommend."

Nick
★★★★★

"I will recommend this crew to anyone that asks. Great to work with and made quick work of an area that the brush mower didn't stand a chance. Left the area in great shape ready to be replanted. Very impressed."

Questions

Trail cutting FAQs

How wide can you cut a trail?

Whatever width you need. Walking trails are usually narrower, riding trails wider, and drill-rig paths we size to the rig. On one geotech job that meant an 8-foot track rig.

Will you cut down my big trees?

No. We route the trail around the trees worth keeping and clear the brush, saplings and junk trees in the corridor. If a dead or leaning tree is in the way, we'll talk about it first.

What's the trail surface like afterward?

The brush we grind becomes a layer of mulch on the trail. It's soft to walk on, holds the soil and breaks down over time. Some spots may need a recut after a season or two.

Can you work from our boring plan or GPS coordinates?

Yes. Send the boring layout, a KMZ or coordinates. We map it in onX and cut a path to each point.

Do you work for geotech and survey firms?

Yes. We cut access for drill rigs and survey crews on wooded and overgrown sites. Tell us your drill date and we'll plan around it.

What does it cost?

It depends on the acreage, the slope and how much is there. Small touch-ups are fine. We've done one-hour Ventrac jobs. Bigger work is quoted as a hard price or a day rate after a walkthrough.
