Can you handle a big acreage job?
Yes. Our largest Indiana job this year was about six acres near Aurora. For big ground we bring more machine and run multiple days, and you get a written quote up front.
Can you do more than mulching?
Yes. We run a stump grinder and a mini excavator for jobs that need clean ground or a little dirt work after the clearing.
Will you take my big trees?
Only the ones you want gone. We walk it with you first, and the nice hardwoods stay standing. We'll drop dead and junk trees as part of the job, and anything too big or too close to the house we'll tell you up front.
Do you haul everything off?
No. Almost everything we cut gets mulched and stays on site. That's a big part of why it costs a lot less than traditional clearing, and the mulch protects the soil while it breaks down.
Will the honeysuckle grow back?
Some will, because the roots are still in the ground. The best way to keep it from coming back is a follow-up recut the next season, and we can schedule that for you.
How long does it take and what does it cost?
It depends on how thick it is, the acreage, the terrain and the finish you want. A lot of residential jobs are done in a day, and bigger acreage runs several days. After a walkthrough you get a written quote, either a hard price or a day rate.
