Batesville Land Clearing & Forestry Mulching
Woods, fence lines and overgrown acreage around Batesville, Oldenburg and out to Greensburg. We make the drive for real jobs, and we've got multi-day work on the books out here.
Worth the drive
Batesville and the country around it is farm ground, woods and old fence rows, and a lot of it hasn't been touched in years. That's the kind of work forestry mulching is made for.
Out here we usually see overgrown fence lines that need opening up before a new fence goes in, woods choked with underbrush, and field edges that have crept in. We clear it, mulch it in place, and work around the stuff that's easy to miss, like old fence wire buried in the brush.
- Fence line clearing tight to the wire, or wide enough for a new fence
- Woods underbrush cleared so you can walk, hunt or cut firewood again
- Old wire and debris flagged and worked around, not chewed up
- Multi-day jobs planned so we're not wasting your money on drive time

What we clear around Batesville
Woods & underbrush
Clear out the junk under the canopy and keep the good hardwoods, so the woods are usable again.
Fence lines & road frontage
Overgrown fence rows and frontage cleared tight so you can fence, mow or see out the driveway.
Stump grinding
When stumps need to go below grade for mowing, seeding or a structure, we bring the grinder.
Seed & straw after
Want grass where the brush was? We can seed and straw the cleared area on the same visit.
Land restoration →Honeysuckle & brush removal
The number one thing we clear around Batesville. Ground down to the dirt, mulched in place, nothing hauled off.
Honeysuckle removal →Lot & build site clearing
House pads, driveway corridors, barn and pole-building sites cleared so the next crew can get right to work.
We bring the whole setup
Batesville is a longer haul from Harrison, so we come ready for a full day or more: CAT 299 or Takeuchi with a mulching head, the stump grinder when it's needed, and a crew sized to the job.

Batesville land clearing FAQs
Is Batesville too far for you?
No. We do paid work in Batesville and out to Greensburg. For farther jobs we plan full days so you're paying for clearing, not drive time.
Can you clear a fence line before a new fence goes in?
Yes. That's one of our most common jobs out here. We clear it tight or wide, whatever your fence installer needs, and we watch for old wire buried in the brush.
Will you take my big trees?
Only the ones you want gone. We walk it with you first, and the nice hardwoods stay standing. We'll drop dead and junk trees as part of the job, and anything too big or too close to the house we'll tell you up front.
Do you haul everything off?
No. Almost everything we cut gets mulched and stays on site. That's a big part of why it costs a lot less than traditional clearing, and the mulch protects the soil while it breaks down.
Forestry mulching or land clearing, which do I need?
If you want the brush and small trees gone and the land usable, that's forestry mulching: we grind it in place and leave mulch behind. If the ground has to be ready for something specific, like a house, driveway or barn, that's land clearing, which can add stump grinding and bucket work. Most jobs are a mix, and we'll scope it on the walkthrough.
How long does it take and what does it cost?
It depends on how thick it is, the acreage, the terrain and the finish you want. A lot of residential jobs are done in a day, and bigger acreage runs several days. After a walkthrough you get a written quote, either a hard price or a day rate.
